Mary Washington Healthcare offers advanced imaging services throughout our region. Board-certified radiologists and interventional radiology specialists perform imaging studies and therapeutic procedures on an inpatient and outpatient basis for children and adults. Our hospital-based imaging programs are fully accredited by the American College of Radiology, which ensures we are committed to the highest levels of quality and patient safety.

Interventional Radiology Services

Mary Washington Hospital offers the latest in advanced interventional radiology procedures, performed by board-certified interventional radiologists. Many of these procedures have replaced the need for surgery. Some of the procedures performed in Interventional Radiology include:

Venous access (PICC lines, Port-a-cath, Dialysis grafts, etc…)
Biopsies
Vascular angiography and stent procedures
Endovascular Laser Therapy (EVLT)
Uterine Artery Embolization (UAE)

Scheduling your procedure

Many general diagnostic xrays do not require an appointment. All other imaging services, and interventional radiology services, require an appointment. To schedule your procedure at Mary Washington Hospital, Stafford Hospital or Stafford Outpatient Imaging, call 540.741.2000.

To schedule your procedure at any of our outpatient imaging facilities, such as Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg, Imaging Center for Women, Medical Imaging at Lee's Hill, or Medical Imaging of North Stafford, please call 540.741. XRAY (9729).

At the time you schedule your procedure, we will provide you with any instructions regarding preparation.
