A diagnosis of cancer is the start of a unique journey, one that can often be challenging. To guide and support patients, and their families, the Regional Cancer Center offers a special Cancer Navigator Program. It's a free, comprehensive resource.
Navigators are dedicated registered nurses specially trained and experienced in cancer care. They provide guidance and resources every step along the cancer journey from diagnosis to treatment to survivorship. Our cancer navigators are your source of confidential, personalized information. The program is managed by a highly experienced cancer surgeon who is also the Medical Director for our cancer care program.
Patients do not need a physician's referral to use the Navigator service. As the cancer patient's advocate, Navigators also identify any barriers to care and locate the resources to overcome them.
