
With the support of local community groups and organizations, the Regional Cancer Center at Mary Washington Healthcare can offer port flushes and lab draws from children with ports, eliminating the need for families to have to travel hours away for these routine services.
Current pediatric oncology services include:
Children with cancer and other chronic diseases often require blood testing on a regular basis, sometimes several times per week. Having this service available locally allows parents to enjoy more valuable time with their child and less time on the road.
To access this service, the child’s pediatrician that has privileges at Mary Washington Hospital must fax written orders to 540.741.0718. Individual appointments can then be scheduled by calling 540.741.2000.
