Geoffrey Lawson

Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer

Geoffrey Lawson is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Mary Washington Healthcare. He is responsible for the creation and maintenance of an innovative, secure, and resilient set of applications and infrastructure in service to Mary Washington Healthcare Associates, Medical Staff, Volunteers, and patients.

After his military service as a nuclear-trained submarine officer, Geoff worked in various IT leadership positions across multiple industry verticals. Prior to joining Mary Washington Healthcare in 2019, Geoff served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Cone Health in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Chief Information Officer at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, North Carolina.

Geoff received his undergraduate degree in Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
