Mary Washington Healthcare's (MWHC) Career Development Team, in partnership with several local colleges and community organizations, hosts an annual Healthcare Discovery Symposium.
This virtual symposium was created to expose high school and college students to careers in healthcare—both clinical and nonclinical—through special interest presentations, mock interviews, virtual tours, and many other engaging activities. The conference allows students to discover areas within our healthcare system where they can envision themselves and provides them with resources for their career journey.
Presentations are led by both MWHC associates and guest presenters from our educational and community partners. Conversations include the process of obtaining the credentials for these positions, open positions, innovations in the field, or special interest topics the presenters are passionate about.
