Awol Ali, MD

Dr. Awol Ali is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Infectious Diseases. Dr. Ali earned his medical degree from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. He served as an assistant professor of Pediatrics at Addis Ababa University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency in New York and did an Infectious Diseases fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

As of October 2024, Dr. Ali was appointed as Clinical Track Faculty at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA. He holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, with a discipline of Infectious Disease. He has written several publications concerning infectious diseases and is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
