Jeffrey J. Pelton, MD,FACS

Dr. Pelton is certified by the American Board of Surgery, is a member of the Society for Surgical Oncology, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Pelton completed an approved Surgical Oncology fellowship at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia.

In addition, Dr. Pelton holds an MBA in Health Services Management and an MS in Biotechnology with a concentration in Bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. Previously, Dr. Pelton provided surgical oncology services for the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Group in Washington, DC, following a career in the US Air Force. He has also been involved in clinical research and has contributed numerous publications to the peer-reviewed surgical literature.

Dr Pelton has over 30 years of experience in the field of surgical endocrinology, has extensive operative experience in endocrine surgery, and has published in the field of surgical endocrinology. Those publications are included in the list of his published work below. Dr. Pelton also holds a national committee appointment on the Endocrine Committee with the Society of Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Pelton was named a Top Doctor in 2024 by the Northern Virginia Magazine.
