Dr. Christopher J. Richards, MD Named Athletics Team Physician for University of Mary Washington

Fredericksburg, VA (October 6, 2021) – Dr. Christopher J. Richards, MD with Mary Washington Orthopedics in affiliation with Fredericksburg Orthopedics Associates, P.C. and Mary Washington Medical Group, has been named through a competitively awarded contract as athletics team physician for the University of Mary Washington (UMW).

Beth Druvenga, UMW’s head athletic trainer, said, “We are excited to partner with Dr. Richards and Mary Washington Healthcare to continue to provide care and medical resources to our student-athletes. Dr. Richards started seeing our student-athletes once the semester began, and we have been making, on average, one to two appointments for our student-athletes a week.” She added, “Our athletic training staff is looking forward to growing our relationship with Dr. Richards and Mary Washington Healthcare to continue to provide the best medical care we can.”
