Power of Pink Breast Cancer Walk

Power of Pink Breast Cancer Walk

WHO & WHEN: Lace up your sneakers and join the Mary Washington Hospital Foundation for the 2024 Power of Pink Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday, October 5. This annual event aims to raise funds for Mary Washington Hospital Foundation's Breast Cancer Fund, supporting breast cancer patients and their families.

WHAT & WHERE: The 2.2-mile route will take participants along Cowan Boulevard, with a loop around Mary Washington Hospital campus. The walk will start and finish in the large parking lot at the John F. Fick, III Conference Center, providing a convenient and accessible location for all participants.

One of the highlights of the Power of Pink Breast Cancer Walk is the largest group contest. Gather your family and friends and register under a team name to compete for the title. The group with the highest number of participants will be crowned the winner. It's a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community and show support for breast cancer awareness.

To keep the energy high, Deejay Big T will be present to get everyone moving and grooving! Get ready to dance your socks off and enjoy the lively atmosphere throughout the event.

Participants are encouraged to dress in their best PINK outfits for the chance to win prizes in three age categories: 12 and under, 13-20, and 21 and older. Do not forget to dress your furry friends, too!

For added convenience, a "drive-thru" packet pick-up will be available at Mary Washington Healthcare on Friday, October 4, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The pick-up location will be outside under the covered turnaround of the main building entrance at 2300 Fall Hill Avenue. This allows participants to collect their packets swiftly and efficiently.
