Mary Washington Healthcare Expands Emergency Services to Harrison Crossing

Fredericksburg, VA (February 05, 2024) – Today, Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) is proud to announce the opening of a new free standing emergency department at Harrison Crossing, in Spotsylvania County.

The 11,000 square foot Emergency Department at Harrison Crossing is a full-service emergency department open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays. They are staffed with board-certified emergency physicians and a team of emergency-trained nurses. The emergency department also relies on solid community partnerships with Rappahannock EMS (REMS), local law enforcement, and fire and safety agencies to help provide outstanding emergency services for patients in the region.

The emergency department treats all emergencies, injuries, and acute illnesses with on-site comprehensive imaging and lab capabilities. Backed by Mary Washington Hospital’s extensive acute care services, patients needing inpatient care are transported to the hospital.
