Counseling Services

Rebecca NeedyThe Regional Cancer Center is pleased to offer the counseling services of Rebecca Needy, MA, LPC. As a licensed professional counselor, Rebecca is here to support your emotional needs as you cope with the impact and changes that result from a cancer diagnosis, as you undergo medical treatment, and as you become a survivor.

Are you experiencing any of the following?

  • Feeling overwhelmed and not coping well with the diagnosis
  • Having difficulty adjusting to your diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis
  • Anxious about how your life is or how it may change
  • Anxious about the future and concerns about the possibility of cancer recurrence
  • Changes in intimacy, sexuality, and relationships
  • Having difficulty in talking to children, family, and friends about your diagnosis
  • Stress in caring for a loved one

Rebecca facilitates compassionate patient-centered care to:

  • Manage stress and reduce anxiety and depression.
  • Help patients manage strong emotions.
  • Increase life-coping and problem-solving skills.
  • Promote hope for a healthy future.
  • Teach mind-body and contemplative practices using mindfulness.

Rebecca offers individual, couple, caretaker, or family counseling services at no cost to you and you do not require a referral from a provider. Counseling services are provided in person or over the phone/video. She is available for initial consultations and ongoing therapeutic services for up to five appointments. Sessions are typically one hour. Rebecca is happy to support a transition to a community therapist if further assistance is needed beyond the five sessions.
