The Ostomy Clinic provides care, education and support for ileostomy, colostomy and urostomy and JPouch patients. Ostomy services include stoma marking, pre-operative teaching, ostomy irrigation, fistula management, and peristomal skin complications. A Certified Ostomy Nurse can enhance a patient's self-confidence and independence, allowing them to experience a rapid return to their normal productive lifestyle through stoma marking and pre-operative teaching.
A physician referral is not required to be seen in the Ostomy Support Clinic. To schedule an appointment with a Certified Ostomy Nurse call MWHC Centralized Scheduling at 540.741.2000 and ask for Ostomy Support Care Services.
