Letters from Loved Ones
The Mary Washington Hospice team is so appreciative of the beautiful and
heartfelt letters and messages we receive from our hospice patients' family
members and loved ones.
We wanted to share some of their kind words below:
-
"To our wonderful hospice team,
Our family is grateful for your loving care, kindness and concern for and
to my husband and our family. Your attention and anticipation of his needs
greatly assisted his peaceful transition and gave comfort to us all. Special
shout out to Tracey and LaTaisha for being amazing and my rock through
his last days. I couldn’t have picked a better hospice service for
my husband!”
- “I want to thank you for your remembrance ceremony that you recently
held for those that had passed during the previous year. My daughter and
I thought it was beautiful!”
- “Our bereavement counselor, Karen Myers, was exceptional! Her monthly
calls were always so timely. The kind words of encouragement and support
always touched my heart and I was able to share her insights with my sisters,
which helped us so much during our healing process.”
- “Words cannot fully express the depth of gratitude I and my sisters
feel toward the amazing nurses and counselors from Mary Washington Hospice
and Grief Support Services. In our hours of need, my mother was ministered
to in the most amazing, respectful, caring, knowledgeable, and tender
way. In turn, they held us up as her caregivers, providing amazing support
and insight as we then knew what to expect and how to meet her needs-
and even those of her sweet dog. The Service of Remembrance was also touching,
healing, and appreciated.”
- "Thank you for your dedication especially through these difficult
times."
- "My heart is filled with gratitude because you made his last days
bearable."
- "Thank you all for being special people and choosing this path. You
are needed."
- "Everyone that came to visit was professional, caring and supportive."
- "You helped us get through a difficult time."
- "I truly appreciate all of the great help and love that was shown
to my husband and me."
- "Thank you for making Mama’s last weeks more comfortable. We
have nothing but great things to says about her care team."
- "The services you provide to patients and their families are always
valued but are indeed a blessing during our current environment."
- “Your staff filled so many needs with gracious and loving hearts.
You brought us all to a place of peace.”
- "Ms. W’s daughters wanted to say thank you to every member of
the team that provided care for their mother. They shared that every single
hospice team member was attentive, gentle, kind and listened to all they
had to say. Everyone was extremely helpful with answering their questions
and providing education. They feel they could not have had a better experience
given the circumstances and feel at peace with how their mother passed."
