Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) is proud to announce it administered its 50,000th dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine today to Cenia Bonilla, a Stafford County Public School teacher.
The staff and volunteers at the vaccine clinic, located in the John F. Fick, III Conference Center, clapped and cheered as Ms. Bonilla made her way through the stations to receive her final dose of the vaccine. When she arrived in the vaccination room, Dr. Mike McDermott, MWHC CEO, administered the dose to Ms. Bonilla.
Dr. McDermott acknowledges the significance of this occasion. “When we started delivering vaccines just a few months ago, who could imagine that we would deliver over 50,000 vaccine doses in such a short period of time? I have a tremendous amount of gratitude for our team here at Mary Washington Healthcare who have made it possible for us to vaccinate our community and the way that we're doing it,” he added.
