UPDATE June 1, 8:30 a.m.

Three patients remain hospitalized at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA, following the Friday morning bus crash on I-95.

The condition of one patient has been upgraded from serious to fair. Of the two remaining patients, one remains critical and one remains in serious condition.

Mary Washington Healthcare received a total of 19 patients from this incident. So far, 16 of those have been discharged.

Conditions remain unchanged on the three patients admitted to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA, following the Friday morning bus crash on I-95.

One patient is in critical condition and two remain in serious condition.

Mary Washington Healthcare received a total of 19 patients from this incident. So far, 16 of those have been discharged.


UPDATE May 31, 8:30 a.m.

Three patients remain admitted to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA, following the Friday morning bus crash on I-95.

One remains in critical condition and two are in serious condition.

Mary Washington Healthcare received a total of 19 patients from this incident. So far, 16 of those have now been discharged.

We continue to extend our support to those who were injured and our condolences to the families who have lost loved ones in this incident.


UPDATE May 30, 3 p.m.

Mary Washington Healthcare continues to care for patients from the Friday morning bus crash on I-95. As of Saturday afternoon, of the 19 patients received across both our hospitals, 15 have now been discharged.

Four patients continue to be cared for at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA. One remains in critical condition, two are in serious condition and one is in fair condition.


UPDATE May 30, 8:30 a.m.

Mary Washington Healthcare continues to care for patients from the Friday morning bus crash on I-95. As of Saturday morning, of the 19 patients received across both our hospitals, 14 have been discharged.

Five patients continue to be cared for in our trauma center. One remains in critical condition, two are in serious condition and two are in fair condition.

Our thoughts and prayers continue for those who have been injured and for the families of those who have lost their lives during this sad incident.


UPDATE May 29, 3 p.m.

Mary Washington Healthcare continues to care for patients from the overnight bus crash on I-95. Of the 19 patients received, 12 have been treated and released from Stafford Hospital in Stafford, VA; one has been treated and released from Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA, and six adult patients remain hospitalized at Mary Washington Hospital.

Of those hospitalized, one is in critical condition, two are serious condition and three are in fair condition.

We continue to provide care to patients even after discharge until alternate travel arrangements can be made and we extend our deepest concern and sympathy for the injured and those who have lost family members during this sad incident.


Friday, May 29, 11:30 a.m.

Mary Washington Healthcare received a total of 19 patients from the bus incident on I-95 overnight.

Seven patients were taken to the trauma center at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA. Four have been treated and are being discharged. One is in serious condition and two are in critical condition.

Twelve patients were taken to Stafford Hospital in Stafford, VA. Those patients are in overall good condition and have been discharged as patients.

All patients will continue to be cared for at both hospitals with meals and personal needs until they can be reunited with their belongings or other transportation can be arranged.
